Backend engineer focused on Go, PostgreSQL and TypeScript.

I build data platforms for government services and SaaS products, from schema design to API to the boring-but-critical parts: concurrency, limits, and failure modes.

Hi, I'm xmuu — a backend engineer who likes the parts of systems that fail quietly: race conditions, rate limits, pagination that lies, and the seams between services.

What I do

  • Build data platforms and public information systems (government scale)
  • Ship SaaS products end to end as a freelance engineer
  • Write Go services backed by PostgreSQL/SQLite, with TypeScript frontends

where the product needs them

How I work

  • Tests before confidence: TDD, -race on anything concurrent
  • Measurements before claims: every number on this site is re-runnable
  • Boring infrastructure on purpose: containers, CI, small deployable units

Currently learning

  • Database internals: locking, MVCC, query planning
  • Distributed-systems fundamentals: clocks, quorums, idempotency
  • Making benchmarks honest (medians, warm-ups, and the lies averages tell)
